Dr. Urvashi Gunputh is a multidisciplinary academic with expertise in Additive Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, and Sustainable Design. She holds a PhD from Plymouth University and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from Brunel University. Her research spans aerospace, healthcare, and low-carbon manufacturing, with projects including IN718 component printing, auxetic structures, sustainable tooling, and 3D-printed orthoses for the NHS. As Theme Lead for Sustainable Materials in the ERDF DECarbonise project, she supports SMEs in decarbonising production processes. She collaborates internationally and supervises PhD students in the UK and France.
