After studying business administration at the University of Göttingen, TU Berlin, and the London School of Economics, Annette v. Wedel worked as a management consultant. In 2001, she joined Deutsche Bahn AG as manager in Group Strategy, she became Head of Diversity Management until 2018, reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Since 2019, she has been a co-initiator and board member of the non-profit association female.vision e.V., promoting equal participation in work and life. As an independent consultant, she advises on team dynamics and diversity in the context of digitalization and AI. She co-initiated the BMAS “KIDD” research project, developing a transparent and diversity-oriented process for the introduction of human-centered IT and AI in companies. She also contributed in the development of the 2nd edition of the AI standardization roadmap.
