Captain Lieutenant Sascha Hartig joined the Bundeswehr in 2008. In 2011, he studied mechanical engineering at Helmut Schmidt University / Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg (HSU). He served as a technical officer in the 1st Submarine Squadron. Since 2019, Hartig has been a research associate at HSU in the Laboratory of Engineering Technology in the Additive Manufacturing and Lightweight Construction group, where he works in the field of 3D printing for the armed forces. In Q4 2022, he will move to the Naval Command and take up the role as Coordinator 3D Printing Navy.
